My family and I are just back from our second two week stay at Villa Demeter and had an amazing stay once again!

We’ve never gone back to the same place twice for a holiday but - having relaxed from the moment we arrived on our first visit - decided to ‘gamble’ and go back again this year. We were a little cautious that the Villa would have the same feeling as the first time but I’m really pleased to say it did and once again ticked all of the boxes for us.

My parents joined us too this time and also really enjoyed it. Thanks Peter, we loved every minute and would certainly recommend to others. Until the next time Kefalonia …..

We’ve just returned from a week at Villa Demeter. It has everything you could want from a villa: spacious and comfortable interior; well-equipped kitchen; spotlessly clean throughout; and a fantastic pool and garden. The pictures online don’t really capture its beauty. The bedrooms have lovely beamed ceilings and the first floor balcony from the main bedroom is great for early risers keen to see the sunrise.

We particularly loved the nearby Spithi beach for an early evening swim before heading into Scala for an evening meal, walking down and getting a taxi back. We also loved an evening at the villa, making use of the BBQ and outdoor dining facilities.

There were nice little extras that finished off the holiday: a beach bag in each room with pool towels; BBQ wood provided; washing liquid/dishwasher tabs available; and a mid-week clean. Peter was the perfect host: timely communications; clear instructions/directions; and helpful recommendations.

We have just retuned from a 2 week stay in Villa Demeter.

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers (18 and 16). We had an amazing time at the villa and spent the 2 weeks mainly relaxing after a busy year for all of us. This villa was an ideal place to relax - a real home from home - and our 18 year old particularly enjoyed the independence of the garden room.

We hired a car for 2 weeks from Simotas Car Rental (they are awesome), which gave us the opportunity to explore the local area and beyond. Our highlights were Kamina beach (super chilled beach 10 mins from Scala) and the restaurants in Poros and Katelios. Best of all though was walking along Mounda beach at around 10.30pm and spotting a newly hatched turtle trying to make its way to the sea (we gave it a little help and it made it successfully to the sea much to my daughters delight!).

We had a couple of very minor issues with the dishwasher and the pool, which were fixed immediately after we raised them. Other than that, everything was perfect with the villa.

We would highly recommend Villa Demeter to anybody who is thinking of booking.

Just returned from a weeks stay in Villa Demeter. This is the best villa holiday we have been on, the villa is spectacular, peaceful, decorated beautifully, clean - just fabulous. Peter was so efficient from the very moment I enquired about our booking right through to arriving and when we got home -I can't praise him enough .

We didn't hire a car which you really do not need as there are plenty of taxis around and car hire places in town should you want to explore further.

The village of Skala is also lovely small enough to wander around and enjoy and a lovely selection of restaurants, although our favourite for fresh seafood was Sunrise situated right on the beach. All of the people we met and talked to were lovely and friendly.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Demeter - a group of 5 consisting of myself and my partner alongside his mum, dad and brother.

The Villa itself is stunning, the rooms spacious and well decorated, the kitchen complete with everything you need and the garden/pool area is just the cherry on top. We stayed in the garden room and it was very comfortable and private, whilst only being a stone's throw away from the main house. The garden being completely private makes for a very relaxing and serene space, with an outside BBQ that allowed us to still be able to hang out when we were cooking. And what a wonderful experience to be able to pick herbs - and lemons- from the garden to use in our cooking! The pool was also very clean and the perfect size, so of course we ended up spending most of our time out here. Oh - and how amazing to have air-con in every room, especially when the temp reached 35 degrees celsius!

The location itself was great, only a short drive/walk to Skala while Poros (my favourite of the towns we visited) was not much further. Having a car made it easier to explore the other beaches and bars, each more breathtaking than the other.

Villa Demeter exceeded all of my expectations and provided one of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had, and hopefully one day we will be back.

Beautiful rural setting but near enough (15 minute walk, 5 minute car journey) to the lovely town of Skala. Villa Demeter is a delight, swimming pool and garden fabulous, high quality interior, never slept so well, everything you need including Wi-Fi and smart tv for our girls. Kefalonia in June has been amazing, easy car hire and very quiet roads, made the journey from the airport to Villa Demeter very enjoyable.

Villa Demeter has achieved first place in our years of holiday villas. The house is beautifully appointed, with everything you might possibly need. From a generous amount of coat hangers, crockery, and glasses to the smoothie maker in the modern kitchen, there was nothing wanting.
The house style has been cleverly curated, reflecting the Greek style but with a Scandinavian accent meaning there is calm in every room. We loved lighting candles and everyone being able to relax in the spacious lounge. We also enjoyed brand new en-suite bathrooms, with an extra shower room downstairs. The garden room allowed our elder son and his partner that extra wee bit of privacy, they described this as their boutique hotel room.

We are a family of cooks and made use of the large custom built BBQ, even the utensils for our outdoor chef were more than we would have expected.
The extensive gardens and level of privacy are not reflected in the photographs online, thank goodness as this was such a surprise. We made full use of the herb garden and the pool is just perfect for 6 people. The custom made pool towels added to the level of detail that makes Villa Demeter stand out from other Villas we have stayed in.
Rural, yet 5 minutes from a nearly private beach, towns villages and every amity that could be needed.
We will be back, as there is little possibility of seeing Greece from any other base.

We have just returned from an idyllic week at Villa Demeter. The villa had everything you need for your stay. Peaceful, away from the crowds but easily accessible to Skala. We didn’t want to come home!

We spent a wonderful week in September 2023 in this gorgeous villa, and can only give the warmest of praise for it.

There were four of us staying (two couples) and we all stayed in the main house, although we saw the garden room, which looked very nice.

The villa has everything that you might want for a very comfortable stay, plenty of storage in the bedrooms, comfortable mattresses on the beds, plenty of hot water for showers, extremely spacious rooms everywhere and a warm relaxed style. The kitchen was recently refitted and had everything we needed plus extras such as kitchen towel, cling film and some staples. The large fridge freezer has an extra drawer in the freezer that we nearly missed and it housed frosted beer glasses, so don't miss out on these if you stay!

The villa is close enough to the main road to walk (about 5 mins) and a taxi will happily pick you up and transport you into Scala village for 5 euros.

Spithi beach is a short walk, but well worth it as it was practically deserted and we had a wonderful day there and took the parasol that is provided in the villa.

Our hosts were extremely helpful when we encountered a small problem, and were on hand immediately to help resolve it.

If you are wondering whether to stay, I would absolutely recommend, we loved it so much we are coming back in September 2024 :-)

We had a fantastic family stay at the Villa in August 2023. The place is superb - comfortable, beautifully put together and elegantly furnished - we found that the location was exactly what we wanted. The Villa feels remote and private but is only a very short journey from the busy little town of Skala. We hired a car from the company that the Villa’s owners recommended (Simotas) and it was much cheaper and better than the online alternatives. The local beach (Spithi) is stunning and no more than a 5 minute walk away through the fields. We also explored further afield on the island (with helpful recommendations from Peter), but we really didn’t need to.

We put our two teenagers in the garden cottage which was perfect for them - they had a bed each, a bathroom and WiFi, not much more they could have wanted! We stayed in the main house and our other child took the spare room there.

The pool and large garden at the Villa are perfect for any family - we spent hours jumping in and out of the pool, playing frisbee in the garden and enjoying meals outside on the terrace or under the sun awning. We had a barbecue one of the nights too. The place was very clean and we had a visit from the cleaner, pool cleaner and gardener whilst we were there. The kitchen was very well stocked with practical utensils and crockery and the local information provided was complete and really helpful. We found the owners to be extremely response and helpful from initial enquiry and throughout our stay.

A real 5* find. Thanks to Peter and Michele for a great place to have our first family holiday abroad in a few years!

Just wow!
This villa has everything you could want, it literally ticked every single box for what we were looking for. We were able to relax from the minute we walked through the door. From the huge beautiful gardens, swimming pool, outdoor shower, bbq, chill out areas, sea and countryside views from the bedroom balconies, large clean bedrooms, reliable wi-if, smart TV, amazing kitchen with everything you could need. I could go on !
Great location if you don’t want to be right in the heart of a main town but more than close enough to enjoy still. Based just 2-3 minute drive from the Main Street of Skala plus also ideal for Katelios too (5-10 mins by car).
The customer care from the owners was superb, both leading up to our holiday and during.
Our family loved our time here together and would definitely recommend.

Wow what a wonderful find ! We stayed at this villa for a fortnight this August and we were not disappointed. The rooms were all spacious, decorated beautifully and bedrooms were amazing with exceptional sea views. The beds were the comfiest we’ve stayed in. My 12 year old daughter loved staying in her own little garden room as it was so close to the main house she felt safe, but far away enough to give her the independence away from her brothers that she craves. The beaches were close by and having our own rental car allowed us to discover more of the island. The pool and gardens were fantastic too. We were so impressed with the facilities and the kitchen was stocked so well with every utensil you could possibly think of. We will definitely be back. Many thanks.

Villa Demeter was the perfect accommodation for one of my favourite holidays.
The villa was clean, well equipped, comfy, and beautifully decorated.
The gardens were stunning and the pool was the perfect place to cool off!
The island itself is beautiful, with lots to do, good food (especially the feta!).
We had a great time snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, eating and drinking - what more can you ask for!

I 100% recommend staying at the Villa

We would highly recommend Villa Demeter as a beautifully situated and appointed holiday home, stylishly decorated with spacious living areas and bedrooms. The privacy of the garden perfect for early morning breakfast and pool dip and evening swimming and drinks by moonlight. Nearby are the lovely villages of Skala and Katelios with family run taverna’s offering wonderful home cooked Greek dishes. The beaches are plentiful , all clean and family friendly and if you are lucky see a turtle! We hope to return.

This is an amazing villa in a brilliant place for a relaxing and wonderful holiday. Close to the town of Skala with its fabulous beaches, with all you need for within the villa for lazy days by the pool! ☀️👙⛱❤️

Villa Demeter, on the lovely island of Kefalonia, is the perfect antidote to city life. The villa is in a peaceful setting, yet only a short drive from good restaurants and lovely beaches.

There’s a large pool and beautiful garden filled with fruit and olive trees. The pool is perfect for cooling off in the heat of the day, there’s plenty of shade too.

The villa is extremely comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. The beds are comfy, and there are great views to the sea from the bedroom terraces.

We loved walking over the fields before breakfast to swim in the beautiful crystal-clear water at Spithi beach, where we usually had the beach to ourselves. We also loved the sandy beach at Mounda, only 5 minutes’ drive away.

Our stay at Villa Demeter was the highlight of the year, Kefalonia is a beautiful island well worth exploring. The owners Pete and Michelle have created a comfortable, well-equipped villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return; we would highly recommend Villa Demeter.
